True.  But then at some point Mr. Yippie, karma is going to settle your tab.  I hope I'm not standing near you when that happens.  angel

Yes, of course, although I believe judging others may fall under the same category - for everyone.   angel

No judgement here, just self preservation based on common sense.  For what it is worth though, you are my favorite paper tiger.   angel

Nice spin of your judgement! Very Clinton-esque indeed!

WP, I will just leave it at 'those who cast stones' and let you infer the rest.

The more you keep that up, the less it might appear as a "judgement" than a statement of fact.  Keep tripping over yourself to prove me right if you wish.  I don't think the proper way to admonish the kid is to act like a kid yourself.  He deserves it though.  I just think the kamikaze tactic isn't necessary.  Also, I think you paid me a compliment by calling me Clinton-esque.  Heck I might have to run against Starkweather in the primary.  Can I count on your vote?

To the topic at hand, this one sounds like a winner:
On December 15, Annie Shelton, 31, of 1616 Alston Bridge Rd, Siler City was arrested by Deputy Alyson Gardner for Assault with Deadly Weapon with Intent Serious Injury, Simple Assault, Damage to Personal Property, Communicating Threats, Assault with Serious Injury with Minor Present. She was jailed under a no bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on January 3.

The only problem is we can't do a proper job of making fun of these people unless we've got their mug shots too.  Imagine the fun we could have adding captions.  We could have our own Chatham County memes.  Who do I write a letter to in order to get those published?  Or are they already out there and I just don't know where they are?

Anyway, on the subject of disturbing crimes, how about this one:
Siler City Man Arrest After Being on the Run for Five Years
Posted Date: 11/23/2011
November 23-On Monday, Jorge Aguilera, 34, of 1305 Sunset Place, Siler City was arrested by Deputy Stephen Renn for Failure to Appear in Court and Bills of Indictment for Felonious Kidnapping and Felonious First Degree Burglary. Chatham County Deputies, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U. S. Marshalls Service have been searching for Aguilera since October 1, 2006. On that day, he is accused of breaking into the home of his estranged girlfriend, Florentina Gonzalez Coria, her brother Lorenzo, and father Lorenzo Gonzalez Olguin; and kidnapping their son, Edwin Gonzalez. The incident occurred at 147 Crystal Lane, Siler City and was reported to deputies as a home invasion type of incident. It was reported that four men forced their way into the home at gunpoint around 1:30 am, and bound all the occupants of the home with duct tape and removed then two year old Edwin and $100.00 in cash.

About a month before the kidnapping, Aguilera had been arrested on charges of domestic violence and banned from the home. The kidnapping occurred while he was waiting trial for those charges.

Law enforcement officials received information that Aguilera returned to Mexico with his son. The FBI worked with the Mexican authorities trying to find Aguilera and Gonzalez. Earlier this year, he was captured by Mexican authorities and eventually transferred to the United States. Edwin Gonzalez, who is now seven, has not been located and there is reason to believe he may be with some of Aguilera’s relatives in Mexico.
Aguilera was jailed under a $1,000,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on November 28.

That's some pretty horrible stuff.  Can't believe I missed it until I checked the website.

I hear ya, just could not pass up commenting on the irony of it all.

It's good when they catch bad guys like that, I agree. That Aguilera case has been around for a while.
