A few days ago, I read a State of the County Report online, issued by the Commissioners I believe. I haven't been able to retrace my steps to find it again. Can anyone provide a link? It was interesting and since the silly season is starting, it's well worth looking at. Thanks.

You know Nora that I just adore you. But I put my family time and sweat and tears into what you refer to as "silly season".

Civic responsibility, community meetings and the time it takes to participate in elections are IMPORTANT to all of us. I have respect for those who are involved in this community. I may not agree with some, but ask for respectful dialogue about those disagreements.

No more name calling, please. THAT creates "silly season".

Heather, my apologies. I have great respect for the you and anyone else who puts time and energy behind your beliefs. I was thinking more of the silly season here on the BBS, but I'll just plain take it back and check that language at the door.

Love you, too.

Oh, one more thing: I would like to be able to find the report again. It had good information in it that can help keep the discussion at a meaningful level.

That's it, Mork. Thanks. I assume it's the most recent available. Such reports are alway snap shots. I found the figures that compare Chatham to other counties of similar population to be interesting.

I just received a notice that this year's State of the County address will be given Monday, March 15, 2010 at 6PM in Superior Court.
