Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out the Silk Hope Old Fashioned Farmers' Day. http://www.silkhoperuritans.com/prod02.htmThere's plenty for the kids to do and see - tractors, home-made ice cream, milling, animals, vendors, lunch, amusements, music. We go for the fried banana pudding!

I might be able to make it out to the old fashioned farmers' day this year. Is there an admission fee?

Me too. It's incredibly good. Worth waiting a year for, but the line moves quickly.

It may be $5, was last year. I heard on the radio it was $7 but yes, either way it is a good deal.

You know it may be $7 - I was on the website and I didn't notice at the time but the $5 was under Farm Heritage Day which was in May. Sorry for the confusion

We are planning to have the RE/MAX balloon there again this year with free balloon rides. We will be taking donations with all the proceeds going to the Ruritan Community Center Fund.
