The elections are over over and now we move forward.  Last night most of our county's leaders and staff met in a bipartisan effort with the EDC to work together.  We will be meeting again in three months in Siler City. I hope we meet every three months as a group to work on common problems and issues.

Regards,

Mayor Randy Voller

A bipartisan group...sounds like the changes are coming and starting at the bottom and working upward. This is an exciting time Mayor Voller and I for one appreciate your posting these threads with Vital information on them. Thank you for your work.

I saw a photo and news item in the local paper.  The photo caption stated it was a meeting of leaders and elected officials.

Apparently the report given to our illustrious County leadership, and done I might add for $126,000 by some "buddies" in UNC was VERY insightful.  Our fearless leader Mr. Lucifer Lucier said now we had to put the findings into action.  Man, that statement was just amazing.  So glad he's our "leader".  Anyway, here were some of the report's findings:

1  We are a bedroom community.

2)  Everyone here works outside the County.

3)  Everyone here spends their money, outside the County.

4)  ...hey wait a minute.  Didn't we already know all this?

And to think what $126,000 would mean if spent wisely.

Oh well,
