The ABC store has had its share of problems since the mid-1990's.
However, after a long period of time there is light at the end of the tunnel. It has been at least ten years since the Pitttsboro ABC Store has distributed funds to the Town and law enforcement. A recent letter from the ABC Board Chair, Harry Sugg, brought good news to the citizens of Pittsboro.
Due to the hard work of the new ABC Board, new staff at the store, and cooperation with the County's ABC Board and staff the store is once again profitable. The aforementioned good news means the Pittsboro ABC Board will be issuing the appropriate distribution checks to the Town of Pittsboro, Pittsboro police department, and the Chatham County Law enforcement department.
Not only is the store looking a lot better, selling a wider variety and better quality of product it has finally left behind the problems of the past. Kudos to all for their diligence and hard work.

I have noticed a difference in the store. They have not run out of my Captain Morgan in months.  It is good to see it running well. |

Yes, the store has really been cleaned up and rearranged attractively. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the stock, pointing out lower priced options when available. My hat is off to them: they are really turning it around nicely.  |
