No arrests June 1 through June 18.

In Lee they list all arrests and it's updated almost daily.

Gene,

Doesn't the County Sheriff have an approved list of citizens who may carry concealed weapons? If so you should publish the public list.

I thought that list was for law enforcement eyes only?  Or not to be published because of the potential for robbery?

I don't know about here, but Ca it is a mandatory 24 hr stay in jail no matter who you are as long as there was no high speed chase, collisions, injuries or outstanding warrants.

Last year in SC, the same officer arrested the same kid twice within an hour for dui.  After the first arrest, he was released to a sober adult (mother).

I have a lot of problems with jail time when there has been no finding of guilt. It generally costs folks on the lower end of the income pool their jobs and the fact remains that not everyone charged is drunk.

That's true, but most people on dui charges have blown into a breathalyser. It's basically the same thing as holding someone for public intoxication for a set time.

Also, these people have been before a magistrate, who is basically a judge in his court. He makes sure there is sufficient evidence to hold them at all and charge them, of course it is subject to review by a higher judge in a short time period. I think it is 96 hours.
