I live on a dead end road on the east side of Jordan Lake. The road begins in wake county and ends in Chatham county. Its about 2+ miles long and ends at the Lake. Teens park at the end, they have taken down the Corp of engineers gate and now you could drive your car right into the Lake. The road crossed the Lake before the Lake was built . So they party down there, make a mess but the worst of it is them speeding down this narrow two lane road, tailgaiting each other , barely staying on the road. Some mornings I'll see tire marks in tight circles at the start of the road off New Hill road which is a busy road with lots of big trucks. So someone will die without a doubt. Since its going on in two counties and the US govt. land. who do I call?. I know they are having fun but too many teens are dying on our roads plus I worry about my friends and family. The farmer who lives at the end is ill and very sick of the mess and noise. Last year during the worst of the drought kids built a bon fire on the old part of the road. It was almost out when i found it and some teens were driving away. There's broken beer bottles and lots of trash but the racing on the road is the worst of it. The land is not part of NC wildlife land , I already tried them. Ideas?

call the FBI, the sheriff of both counties, state park service, tell the story, ask for email addresses and send emails with cc to all other agencies so they all know they all know.

call the law enforcement in charge of any part of the property in question, then write a letter to the paper.

If you can safely do so, get license plate numbers as well...then law enforcement can trace those, straight to the little varmints.

Their parents must live in Chatham Forest.

Their parents must live in Chatham Forest. Excuse me..... but I don't see the connection between Chatham Forest and racing teenagers. Teenagers, that are drinking and racing is a serious problem.

goober, sorry for the joke. I believe that teenagers that drink and drive fast (or at all) is a problem that should not be taken lightly.
But the joke is about some of the homeowners that have moved, or dismantled the barricade that blocks the second exit of Chatham Forest because the developer will not make the necessary improvements to open it. Couple that with reports of the "drag racing" some of the people do through the subdivision, and you can see my joke. Sorry if it is not funny, but I am in a silly mood today (my metamucial is kicking in).
