Hi Everyone...I have a couple questions I just wanted to get some opinions on if you have a chance.

Question 1:

I pay separate health insurance for my daughter with BCBS.  It's the top of the line coverage for about $150 a month.  I recently did a study on health insurance and was informed that BCBS in NC does not feed any profits back into it's coverage programs to help lower rates.  In fact they go up every year almost no matter what.  My daughter is 2 1/2 and when we started her coverage we paid $120 and now it's a little over $150.  Does anyone have any insurnace companies they are happy with since I'm looking to change companies.  Thanks in advance!

Question 2:

I'm interested in getting my 2 1/2 year old daughter into gymnastic classes.  Actually, we told the granparents that would be a good gift for birthday/Christmas instead of more toys!!!  So, she will be turning 3 before she starts..b-day is Dec 13th..and I wanted to see if anyone knows of good places available and about how much classes run.  Thanks in advance!

I had to use it the last couple, and thanked the lord I did. with a young person, 180 isn't bad. this country needs a new health care system. this cannot go on.

The BCBS deductible and copay on mine are now more than what the PREMIUMS alone use to be...not a bad profit for a "nonprofit" (grimace emotion!).

Non Profit my back side. They may get non profit status with the state but they are no way a non profit  company. Remember a couple years ago when they took all the big wheels to the US Open in Southern Pines . I remember they had all toll over $ 600,000 in company expenses. There are more examples of their waste , you many to write about.

Note this is an '05 article on CEO rewards...while then and now I have known people to be denied procedures or recommended stay lengths in a hospital and booted out the door!

Mean ole BCBS.  They should pass a law that doesn't force people to buy their insurance.

It would be different if they didn't advertise themselves as a non-profit but behave like a for-profit.

Yeah, a former co-worker and I "chuckled" about their TV ads...some guy injured in a foreign country and all the help they gave to get him home to US for care, yet they would not cover her ambulance ride for a short distance in a medical emergency she had. Nor would they cover the hospital bill, said it was WC and WC said it was BCBS and she was stuck with thousands out of her pocket.  Long story...needs a fix!

I'll stop after this, so I don't hijack the thread.

A lot non-profits fit this definition.  Maybe the legislature should consider a change.

Grumble, I'll ask some friends who are not on BCBS and get their feedback on if they are happy with their coverage and at what cost.  I also had a friend that had a great experience with her child in respect to gymnastics (just don't remember where myself) and see if she can offer input on that...happy now?
