because it's freezing in the mountains and I'm not leaving this chair until Spring comes ~ chuckle.  We had a windchill factor of -12 below zero last night and already had a 7in snow last month when they only predicted 1-2 inches

Somehow the frozen water in the outside dog bowl just doesn't communicate the same sort of cold as your water fall photo.

SO, okay I now have more than my 'dusting' forecasted for Chatham Co. Hope they didn't miss the mark again like did in 2000 and got around 20 inch 'dusting' Shocked

I have about three inches here. The roads were far worse than the numbers would suggest. It has been so cold that there's no road slush like there usually is at the start of a winter storm.

And if I ain't mistaken, tomorrow night, even salted roads will freeze.

As far as I'm concerned as long as everybody is safe at home this too shall pass.  Lots of firewood for the fire place wood for the stove and hot chocolate and I'm good with this.

Shocked that's a lot of snow for a predicted dusting, have the schools closed for tomorrow?

I measured 6 inches of powdery snow on my porch this morning. Quite the dusting! I walked up to the paved road and there is no sign of pavement as of noon today. The wind is blowing the snow off the trees and it is like mini snow storms. Grateful for the wind blowing the snow off the trees to help keep the branches from snapping once the temps drop. This weather report comes from near the Goldston area.

Buy stock in area auto body shops Grin Chatham 911 FB has some photos posted that will give folks idea of what it looked like out and about this morn. Dare say the side roads STILL look the same.

Wow ~ I looked at the roads on Chatham 911 FB, definitely looks slippery.  My daughter in Apex told me the roads did clear up today, but black ice
