I used to think my husband was exaggerating when he said this area would be the next Atlanta.

No longer...

Meanwhile, RTP Foundation has announced plans for a new residential/business park within RTP that will add 100,000 new jobs.  They said that the proposed expansion is not due to the growth of Raleigh's Centennial Campus or the proposed Chatham Park, which I find very hard to believe.

Saw that as well earlier. RTP should go UP vs. OUT~massive parking lots should become decks and expand on top of existing infrastructure vs. scorching new earth to accommodate the supposed growth. IBM playing job whack-a-mole in RTP and others.

And yes, Oakrun~if look at long range projection main corridors plans, we'll all be covered with 'paved paradise'. Makes me glad I'm old as I am, maybe I will escape worst of it.

To be more accurate... "And he adds that the Centennial campus, or the massive Chatham Park development in Pittsboro, are not the competition. China is.",  is what was actually said in the biz journal. It's not just China, but the idea is right.

Dunno, about competing with China.  Historically, we do the hard work in R&D.  They simply steal the intellectual property and undercut everyone else.

I have about another 20 years in Chatham and then I am gone, hopefully my property value will go through the roof.
