New to area..Looking to teach evening zumba classes

Hello
I recently moved from the Eastern edge of Chatham to in-between Pittsboro and Siler City. I am looking to teach evening Zumba classes in Pittsboro or Siler City. I am a certified fitness instructor (20 years) and have been teaching Zumba for 7 years. Anyone have any leads?

Welcome! Always good to have more Zumba-ites to help keep us whipped into shape!
We don't Zumba anymore at JOM.
There are several locations here in Chatham where we get our Zumba groove on!
Most notably - and my own personal fave - is at the Horton school on Mon and Wed at 6:15 and Friday at 5:15.
There are also classes at Ladies Fitness in P'boro, Briar Chapel off 15-501 north of town, and in Siler City at Easy Tan and Fitness.
If you are on FB, you can find Tanja, the local Zumba Queen, at
https://www.facebook.com/ZumbaFitnesswithTanja?ref=ts&fref=ts
She is very welcoming and more than happy to share info so we can all have a lot of choices of where to take classes and who to take them from.
If you are wanting to start up on your own, one place where we were taking classes that was really nice, but no one is teaching currently, is Camp Royall just south of Pittsboro. And in Siler City, Tanja was teaching at the fitness place there (name slipping my mind right now...), but neither of those places really took off quite like we were hoping.

Thank you, Snowball and Chill!
Oakrunfarm...I will follow up on your leads and will try to contact Tanja. I will have to look to see where those facilities are. Do you currently take classes somewhere now?
Thank you for the scoop.!

Hey there,
I am a local Zumba teacher as well and teach at Ladies Fitness Center and in Silk Hope. In fact, I will be moving in the summer and my Silk Hope crew will need a new instructor...? I currently teach Tue and Thurs evenings there. Robin Wagoner, who was one of the very first Zumba instructors in the Chatham area, is a fantastic resource. She has several Zumba certifications and has really paved the way in Chatham County for other Zumba instructors, like Tanja and myself, to get their foot in the door. Best of luck to you in your Zumba endeavors.

Thanks. I used to do the Tues. (or Thurs? I forgot what evening it was!) eve. zumba classes at Ladies Fitness before Robin. I had to stop teaching there B/c the trip was just too long for me after work when I lived in Apex. If you still need an instructor for Silk Hope in the summer, give me a shout. I will check in with LF for any sub duty.
Many thanks!

Last time I looked, Triangle Fitness was in the old CVS place between Elizabeth's Pizza and what's now a Kimbrell's in Siler Crossing.
That Kimbrell's has been a couple things, too -- Food Lion, then when they moved it was a flea market and a dollar store for a while. I heard some very interesting things about how the dollar store treated that building!

Welcome thudded! I'm glad you found this board! I'll stop by your office & give you the name & email of Fatima, I believe she teaches at Triangle Fitness.
