Conehead posted this in another thread......wanted to copy it over here since it is NC Centric!

This weekend in Raleigh at the fairgrounds. Get there early as I would assume it is going to be extremely busy, I am.

Everett, I take it you will get there early, AND be extremely busy when you get there.

If it was anything like the recent gun show in Birmingham, you will be standing in about an hour long line waiting to get in, even if you're one of the early birds. But, in my opinion, the wait is well worth it.

Headed out in about an hour.....It sounds like that's going to be too late!   I am curious to see how the prices have skyrocketed with all the recent political coverage of so many things.

I heard from someone yesterday that AR-15's were running about 2 grand this year, and I think the .223 ammo is going for 400 dollars per 1000.

A friend posted a picture on FB showing the long line. Obama should be awarded gun salesman of the year.

You can still find many reasonable  priced firearms in the AR platform. Two days ago, I saw online where there were brand new, still in the box DPMS Panther Arms Oracle A3, .223 w/2 30 rd mags (no optics, flat top) for $899. There are several things coming back in at some of the internet dealers.

However, there is A LOT of price gouging going on as well due to the panic buying. As with most things, it really pays to shop around.

The show was just closed due to an accidental discharge at the check station.  It will reopen tomorrow.

Good grief! Perhaps a false flag event?!  Lips Sealed

In all seriousness, I hope no one was hurt.

I read a cop was checking a gun before allowing a patron to enter when it accidently went off.  It hit a man in the hand and a woman in the side.

Found a link: http://www.wral.com/two-people-injured-in-shooting-at-raleigh-gun-show/12000843/

It also says it was not a cop, but an offical at a safety check-in station.

The TV news last night says that no gun show official (cop,check-in person, etc.) ever touched the shotgun........and speaking of that, it was a shotgun, something not even being mentioned as an "assault" rifle, or now as snooty Nora O'Donnel (along with others) is calling them;  Weapons of Mass Destruction.

They want all guns Everett, the "assault weapons" are the first step. The lefties wasnt to make people to believe that guns are like cigarettes, a public health hazard whose habit must be quit.

If we, as a country, spent half as much law enforcement effort (time, money, action etc. etc.) as we do on handing out speeding tickets and seat belt tickets,  on ENFORCING the existing gun laws and exacting penalties for violators, this discussion would not be happening.
