Citizens are invited to the Siler City downtown master plan public input meetinghttp://www.chathamjournal.com/weekly/news/local/siler-city-downtown-master-plan-public-input-meeting-130115.shtmlSiler City, NC - The public is invited to a presentation of Siler City’s Downtown Master Plan study on January 15, 2013, at 6 pm in the City Hall courtroom (311 North Second Avenue).
The Master Plan study area encompasses the core nine block area of the downtown. The Master Plan study began in August of last year by the consultant team of Coaly Design and Clarion Associates working closely with the NC STEP Downtown Master Plan Committee. A community meeting was held to present an analysis of the current downtown land use and areas for growth opportunities. A survey was conducted to assess the needs and desires of the community. The survey was utilized by the consultant team to produce a draft master plan and recommend four priority projects for concept planning by the team.
The presentation will include the draft master plan and four priority projects for public review. The public is encouraged to attend.
