MINT HILL, N.C. -- The Mint Hill Police Department needs your help to find a missing 16-year-old girl.


Mint Hill PD seek missing teen girl



Around 6 Sunday evening, police responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Dartmoor Place in reference to a teen girl who had not returned home.

The girl's father says his daughter, Kayla Campbell, says the 16-year-old was last seen at the family's home around 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

Kayla is described as 5-foot-6, weighing 115 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Mint Hill Police Department at (704) 847-5555.

Detective Tim Lezette leads the investigation.

I wonder if she ran away. I did at 15 for a month and never knew until later my dad had the FBI involved. Kids just do not think of this.

The reason I am asking is the news this morning said they think she was not abducted.

Praying she gets home safe.
