in Chatham, I don't know the result yet, except Munn lost, and that was a very bad sign, she has been a better board member, having lost, than the so-called winning Democrat, a very bad sign of partisanship. but I think and fear it is the future.
I have to give Flint credit - he asks a lot of questions, wants the administration to provide data to back up what they say. If there were 4 Flints on the board, I would be happy (but I'd still run again). I was 663 votes short last time - I don't know how many people I've met since the election, but I'm well on my way to 2012.

663 votes.

before that election, I took an hour and walked my neighborhood, and spoke to about 12 neighbors. one already knew Munn, the rest had no clue who to vote for, but said they would vote for her, if I cared that much.

most people vote in the little elections with no information except what the parties provide.

if 25 more people had done what I did, taken an hour on a saturday afternoon and knocked on half a dozen doors, she would have won.
