106.1 FM radio has given the Triangle a great Christmas present: Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Todd Schnitt and Jason Lewis are now on FM. See the schedule for Rush Radio 106.1 by clicking here.  The best part is that I do not have to listen to the faux AM conservative station anymore. Well actually I stopped listening a long time ago. I listen to Glenn Beck and Rush at work through the Internet.

Unlike my fellow conservatives, I was really annoyed by the change.  There are only a few country stations in the area, and it is even more limited by reception in my lab.

wow, how the mighty have fallen, RDU goes from the best station in the state in the 80's & 90's to a dumbed down, please the masses Clearchannel joke of a rock station with JB&B and then Bob & Tom to the rooster and finally to talk radio.

The least they could do is change the call letters so that the memory of the original greatness of RDU won't continued to be sullied.

RIP RDU, at least your legacy and splendor lives on at 96Rock, which, btw, is now streaming live online at www.96rockonline.com

Who wants to bet 101.1 WZTK's Brad and Brit slide a little back to the right as a result of this?

And Handleman, funny after the drive time show Savage comes on, quite a swing. 101.1 was a country station too at one time and has made more money being FM Talk, RDU had an opportunity to pick up a heavy hitter like Rush, a rare opportunity, so they went for it.

Those are 3 out 6 of my presets.  I like having more than one choice for country though, in case Rascal Flatts comes on.

unfortunately, the airwaves in the public domain are ruled by 2 companies, and we the people have lost control of that choice. unless you can afford a set of satellite radios, there is no choice. young people have no memory of choice on the radio.

If liberal radio sold ads Air America would not have failed.  For some reason left people do not support left radio, and I'm not sure why.

My liberal friends seem to HATE the fact that this is a situation where we actually DO have a choice. We vote with our advertising dollars and where we set the dial. No one can make us listen to any particular thing. It is either worth listening to, or it is not. Those who are not do not get advertising money and go out of business.

Rock radio was killed by program directors years ago which led to their demise.

I hat to have someone blathering at me + incessant commercials.

I'll stick with podcasts, pandora and streams from the stations.

Reminds me of another two company system where most everyone loses.
