Special thanks to Chris at Virlies for all the help and advice. Without you I am not sure if we could have done it.

When you're feeling slow, grab a "shot of 'spro"!

Sounds like you guys are relieved and ready to go! Can't wait to try one of those hotdogs. We won't be back at the "lot" until the 24th due to our Madison, NC event - the 1st Annual Shine Fest. We will have apple cider and egg nog latte for anyone.

Tommy has also perfected the Peppermint Patty, Snickers, Mounds, Reese Cup, and Almond Joy latte which can be done in a cappuccino too. I've taste-tested them all and they are all my favorite.

We thought it'd be a good idea to tell all of you to run down and try these hot dogs.... We grabbed two today and devoured them pretty quickly. Great hot dogs with a nice assortment of toppings. Can't wait to try the sausage dogs the next go around. Scotty, Lynn(e) and Garrett are great people too!

Which type(s) of hotdogs did you decide on selling?  Best of luck!

Murph,
We were recommended the Sams Club beef hot dogs but we were disappointed with the size. The taste was good though. We changed today to the Hebrew National beef hot dog which has won most national taste tests. It is more expensive but its bigger and tastes better so we are going to stick with it. We will still be selling the Brightleaf red hot dogs, sausage dogs, and chili. Starting Monday our buns will be bought from the The Bread Company in Pittsboro. Should be "hands down" the best bun around. I want to say thanks to all who have come out an got a Dog this past week it was awesome meeting all of you. If you have any suggestions on ways we can improve our service please tell us. We honestly want to serve the best hot dog around. I do want to extend a special thanks to Chris at Virlies, Noel at the Fruit Stand, and Tina and Tommy with Shot of Spro. You guys are all awesome thanks for all the help.

Happened to be driving by today and was surprised/happy to see Big Daddy Dogs set-up and in full-swing.  Enjoyed a very good hot-dog and conversation amid brisk sales.  Looking forward to trying one next week on a fresh-baked roll from the Bread Shop in Pittsboro!

Happy to have them around!! Chili and slaw, both awesome! Would have loved a steamed bun, but with the buns changing... look forward to the next!
I really hope they hit a niche and will be there again and again... every time I get into Pittsboro.

Hey everyone,

So we have been up and running for about 2 weeks now (give or take a few days for rain and Thansgiving) but for the most part we will be out there Monday-Friday 11:00am-2:00pm. If I don't run out of hot dogs and the crowd seems to be steady, I may stay through 3:00pm. But the lunch crowd is what our target is. And weather permitting, we will be out some Saturdays. Now that the weather will be getting colder, we will put up a tent and have the cart inside. So if you don't see the cart with the umbrella (sure tell sign we're there) but you see a tent in it's spot, we are there. Plus we will always put out our "hot dog" signs along the road when we are there. We will definately be out there tomorrow for the Parade and 1st Sunday so please stop by to say hi.

We have met so many wonderful people and you all are so friendly to us. We truly love meeting everyone and blessing as many of you as we can. Like we said from the very beginning, we have never sold a hot dog in our lives so this is all new to us and we want to provide the best hot dog we can. So that is why we changed to Hebrew National all beef dogs why still offering the Carolina Packers Brightleaf reds and sausages (my personal favorite). We are steaming the buns but learning to perfect that as well (as many of you know). Please provide feedback if you like, we want to be a favorite place to swing by for a great tasting dog!
Looking forward to meeting you all!!

In Christ,

Lynn
