More recent budget estimates:
"Estimated Budgetary and Insurance Coverage Effects of H.R. 3962, Incorporating the Manager’s Amendment
According to CBO and JCT’s assessment, enacting H.R. 3962 would result in a net reduction in federal budget deficits of $109 billion over the 2010–2019 period (see Table 1). In the subsequent decade, the collective effect of its provisions would probably be slight reductions in federal budget deficits."

Keep in mind that the CBO can't conjure up figures which are not accounted for in the bill.  Apparently there are lots of positions that were simply excluded from the bill text that would be required to administer this thing, and all of those government jobs that were left out can't be worked with by the CBO.  How much money will these undocumented positions consume?

Cash for Clunkers was supposed to be 1 billion dollars and ended up being 3 billion dollars, the government can't supply H1N1 vaccine to the population as promised. Two examples of the reason why government does not need to be in the health care business.

Cash for Clunkers removed tens of thousands of perfectly functional used cars from the market.  C4C also required that "clunkers" be rendered irreparably unusable within 24 hours, usually by flooding the engine with silicate powder, destroying most of the internal parts by covering them in glass, also stripping junkyards and scrappers' main source of income  (selling used car parts).  Poor people benefit from used cars being available for purchase at a drastically lower price.  It also helped people buy new cars they probably couldn't afford the payments for in the long term.

Hmm, this reeks of something from the past....hmmm......

"the bill targets inefficiency, fraud
and waste in Medicare, including gross and unwarranted overpayments to insurance companies that
offer Medicare Advantage plans."

This statement proves government health insurance will fail.     If we haven't worked the bugs out of medicare in all these years why do we think Obamacare's 2000 page bill will not have the same inefficiency, waste, and fraud.    They're calling the bill $1 trillion.   It will be at least 5 times that, and will cause the failure of the dollar.

So you can vote FOR them, or AGAINST them?

To help get them defeated in their next election.  I can't vote against them as I'm not in their district but I can make calls to their constituents and contribute to their opponents.
