Mayor Randy Voller, thank you for clarifying your side of it too. Your post was 100% accurate in what we discussed on the phone. Thanks for all of your help now and in the future!
gnunn, I am so sorry you didn't find us at BB&T. We did move and I just sent out a new e-mail just a few moments ago. I've been a little behind due to my mom being hospitalized for a week and almost didn't make it. She is in my care for a few days or so until she is strong enough to be by herself.
I will see you later today for some more signage on the van. We need to add some color! I guess it is time I break down and get the logo done too.

We took the Lowe's exit looking for you yesterday morning, but you were nowhere in site (long ride to Raleigh afterwards). We found you this morning. Great cup of coffee, and smoothie. Good luck in your new location...
yeah, are your new signs up? pointed you out to a passenger last week, (10/28) but without the heads up we never would have known.

Everyone needs to stop by and try this....I had a smoothie tonight when I went by to get dinner from Virlies...man that peach smoothie was indeed the best I have ever had...I met Mr. Spro and his daughter, they were very friendly...we laughed about the BBS...he recognized my name when I introduced myself...these are the kinds of folks we need in Pittsboro and surrounding communities...please come out and support our local businesses.

Hey mamacash2 and belle.... thanks for the comments. The peach smoothie does indeed rock and I'm not a smoothie lover.... no caffeine. We are in the process of having more lettering done on the van as well as a nice graphic design that will cover alot of the existing white/empty areas. We have been told many times the van resembles transportation for the elderly, a utility van, etc..... We surely need to add some eye catching color, but as with most things in life these things cost quite a bit of $$$. It is in the works as we speak, just doing little by little as we can afford. We do have 4 signs that we put along the road close to our location, but due to the cost of them we take them down daily and usually only have them out when we are.
Thanks to you guys and the many others that have shown their support. We take alot of pride in what we do and I hope it shows. Until next time......

Someone once told me that you can get magnets for your vehicles much cheaper than permanent artwork. The magnet signs come in varying sizes.
Again, this is just what I've heard. Hope this helps.

The majority of our signage is magnetic now but they are taken off when we are driving to prevent from losing them (it can happen). We need the permanent signage for easier viewing when driving for advertising. We aren't doing anything too fancy or expensive like a van wrap which is what we were going to do. Once you see what we are doing, you'll understand why.
Thanks for the suggestion, they are always welcome! I also read that magnets were the way to go, but when you are having to put them on and take them off everytime in the same place, it gets to be a hassle. Magnets are good for some things like specials, etc. but not for everday use. If I had to do it again, I would have made them permanent but easy to take off it they ever need to be replaced.

Would a banner help? My understanding is that they're pretty cheap, and I think they're supposed to be pretty portable. I know I notice banners on the side of the road.

Shot of spro, would you consider coming to Siler City the 3rd Friday for the Art walk we have each month? They need good coffe and I love tea. I think you would get a good crowd on those nights. I would help spread the word if you would come. Ernie

Sounds like a great idea.... We have heard of this monthly event, but understand there is already a local coffee shop in the area. I know this because when I contacted the Siler City Farmer's Market about serving the community during their events, we were denied because the coffee shop is right in front of the market and they felt it didn't need the competition. From what I learned, the Art Walk is from 6-9pm. All we require is a fairly level surface to park on. I just contacted someone at ddunn1956@earthlink.net - an address I got from the Pittsboro-Siler City Convention & Visitors Bureau. From what we've learned, we need to get "permission" to these things and not just show up even though we have our business license to operate in Siler City and Pittsboro. This is an example of the "brick walls" I discussed in my original post. Also, what type of tea do you like? We currently offer 12 different types of Numi, but plan to add 1-2 more this week. Thanks for your interest. We will be there as long as we get permission from the one that manages the event.

Shot of Spro, I would contact town manager Joel Brower if I were you. He should be able to tell you what you need to know about setting up using the downtown parking (several other vendors have done this during past 3rd Friday artwalks). You may also want to contact the NC Arts Incubator, they could help out by informing you of other events they may have planned. Good luck! Jonus

Shot of Spro, Jonus is right, give Joel Brower a call. He is SC town mgr. and he will be able to tell you what to do. The last I heard all you needed was a street vender permit. D Dunn has no say over our town or who sets up in the towns parking spaces. We look forward to tasting your coffee and teas. Ernie
