We have found about 10 dozen canning jars in my parents' basement. There are about 5 dozen pint sized jars and 5 dozen quart sized jars.

They are different brands: Ball, Kerr, Golden Harvest, Mason and some are wide mouthed. There are also a few jelly jars. There are no lids or seals. They are in excellent condition.

I am selling them for $6 a dozen for the quart sized jars and $5 a dozen for the pint sized jars.

Please email me at: ali_uh1@yahoo.com if you are interested

I am not trying to be rude, but it seems worth mentioning that brand new cases of jars, with bands and lids, are 10$/dozen for quarts and 9$/dozen for pints, and can usually be found for substantially less than that.  A box of wide mouth bands/lids costs about 4$.

Long story short, I would be interested in some of your jars, but not for this price.

Well, I was going by the price of them at Walmart, which is $17.98. So, if you add the $6 plus the $4 for the lids and bands, that equals $10, still less than Walmart.

then walmart has them extra expensive, cause I paid 10 at harris teeter a few days ago, and they weren't even on sale.

I'll go away now.

Ok. I can't say I know anything about canning or the costs of jars, rings, etc. other than what I can find online.

My husband just got home from Walmart in Siler City. He bought quart and pint size canning jars, which came with the lids and covers, everything you need.

Qt size price was: 7.88 - quantity = 1 dz
Pt size price was: 7.70 - quantity - 1 dz
